After three weeks with no rain, i wasn’t expecting much… but the flax is up and looking okay! Thankfully there has been help with weeding and watering from St Fagan’s volunteers.

We’re planning a flax pull session is Wednesday 23rd August – Around 98 days after sowing.

We collected some of the beautiful woad seeds for planting in early autumn.

We were also treated to a visit into the museum collection to look at their flax breakers and linen spinning wheels.

This was really useful research for us as we’ll be making the tools for processing our flax later in the summer.
